I. Purpose
This method aims to establish standardized inspection criteria and defect classifications for packaging materials used in glass bottles and glass products.
II. Scope
The methodology outlined here applies comprehensively to the assessment of all glass bottles and glass products.
III. Instruments and Equipment
Utilize a standard light source lightbox with a D65 light source, or ensure a well-lit environment with ample fluorescent lighting in an office setting.

Conduct a visual comparison of the samples against standard samples, limit boards, and the illustrative examples provided in this method. Maintain a viewing distance of approximately 30cm for a duration of 30 seconds.
V. Calculations and Conversions
No calculations or conversions are required for this method.
VI. Defect Categories and Determination
VII. Sample Retention Period
For record-keeping and reference, it is imperative to store all tested samples as well as the original comparison samples for a duration of 6 months following the completion of testing.
