6. "Lego" Packaging
Most consumers desire alternative packaging that retains the uniqueness of traditional packaging while adding an element of fun. As a result, a packaging solution reminiscent of LEGO, allowing for endless customization and creativity, has emerged!
When you look at this hexagonal material individually, it resembles a flower. Upon closer examination, three of its corners are hollow, allowing you to rearrange the shapes in various configurations and patterns. This highly flexible sponge-like structure can be used to hold a variety of items such as fruits, vegetables, or candies. When assembled as a pencil case, the minimal gaps between shapes prevent pencils from falling out.
It can also transform into a lampshade, softening the harsh glare of light.
This creative design revitalizes discarded leather and sponge, turning them into something of value. Through a series of ingenious ideas, these small hexagons can create captivating, innovative shapes, serving as a new and functional consumer product to enhance human life!
7. Lightweight + biodegradable Toothpaste packaging
Many times, when we purchase products, we are compelled to accept excessive plastic and cardboard packaging that takes up space, adds weight, and is not environmentally friendly.
Taking this into consideration, a designer started with Colgate toothpaste and created a lightweight, biodegradable packaging.
This new packaging can be seen as an eco-friendly alternative to traditional toothpaste packaging. The design aimed to develop sustainable toothpaste packaging that addresses long-standing challenges in logistics and the environment.
In terms of logistics, the designer eliminated the cardboard box without compromising the integrity of the toothpaste, making the product lighter and more suitable for long-distance transportation. They also changed the product's display on store shelves, transitioning from traditional stacking to hanging, with the goal of not affecting its durability.
In terms of environmental impact, a series of modifications were made. The packaging was simplified, the brand eliminated the use of chemical inks, and the packaging became recyclable and biodegradable, meeting consumer demands while also considering sustainability and ecology.
In terms of design, the graphic elements of the product were also updated to reflect the purpose of this redesign.
8. Old Amsterdam
When it comes to directly edible foods, the first consideration in packaging design is not flashy aesthetics but ease of storage and preservation to ensure the freshness of the ingredients.
For this "Old Amsterdam" cheese, the designer used a transparent cover as part of the packaging. On one hand, it provides a clean and minimalistic display of the cheese's purity, and on the other hand, it extends the cheese's lifespan in the refrigerator, maintaining the freshness of the ingredients.
The primary color scheme of the outer packaging uses bright yellow and black, which is simple and elegant, providing a sense of security and catching the consumer's eye, aligning with the cheese's characteristics.
9. "people - farmers" and "ecology - health"
"Who knows the toil involved in every grain on the plate?" Rice is an essential staple on Asian dining tables, and the designer, tracing the origin of rice production, captures the elements of "people - farmers" and "ecology - health," creating a vivid new rice packaging design.
The new design features images of the hardworking farmers who produce the rice. The primary focus uses black lines to vividly depict the expressions of different farmers as they work in the fields. This evokes a range of emotions in viewers - confidence, pride, contentment, empathy, and even weariness, creating an emotional connection that enhances consumer affinity and respect, bringing them closer to the product.
The rice packaging comes in both small and long bags, cleverly distinguishing between the two types of rice offered by the brand - small grains and long grains. The packaging materials are environmentally friendly and 100% sustainable. The rice bags are made from high-density jute, while the farmers' straw hats are modeled after cardboard box lids. For practicality, the inside of the straw hats features a rice cup measurement.
Additionally, the outer packaging incorporates elegant and dignified calligraphy elements, paying homage to tradition and expressing the brand's philosophy of a simple and healthy lifestyle.
10. Cow - Milk
How can packaging itself become the most loyal sales representative for a product? The "adorable pet therapy" style of packaging design is becoming a popular trend.
Combining the characteristics of the product "milk," the designer chose the "cow" as the product symbol and crafted the bottle packaging into a cute "cow udder" shape. The design of four small teats serves not only to consider the principles of ergonomics but, more importantly, to provide stability and balance to the bottle.
Furthermore, the designer created different colors based on various flavors, allowing consumers to choose as they please.
